My first, my last, my everything.
And the answer to all my dreams.
You're my sun, my moon, my guiding star.
My kind of wonderful, that's what you are

I know there's only, only one like you.
There's no way, they could have made two
You're all I'm living for,
Your love I'll keep for evermore,
You're the first, you're the last, my everything.

Loveless
=============================

The Prologue:

When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end,
The goddess descends from the sky

Wings of light and dark spread afar,
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting...

Act I:

Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess
We seek it thus, and take to the sky.
Ripples form on the water's surface
The wandering soul knows no rest.

Act II:

My Friend, your desire
Is the bringer of life, the gift of the goddess.

Legend shall speak of sacrifice at worlds end.
The wind sails over the water's surface
Quietly, but surely...

FANBOYS: FOR,AND,NOR,BUT, OR,YET,SO

There are only seven coordinating conjunctions in the English language, and they are easily remembered by the acronym FANBOYS:
FANBOYS are the cordinating conjunctions
Coordinating conjunctions signify the relationship between two independent clauses (IC), allowing the writer to specify meaning. In other words, when we construct a compound sentence using a coordinating conjunction, we ask our readers to understand that the two ideas logically relate to each other in the way in which we specify:
 Logic
 Coordinating Conjunctions
 Addition
 and
 Opposition, Contrast, Concession
 Cause
 for
 Result or Effect
 so
 Choice, Option, Alternative

In addition to signifying a specific relationship between ideas, the compound structure also tells the reader that the ideas in these clauses are valued equally: one idea is no more important than the other. I may choose to indicate contrast between ideas by using the coordinating conjunction "but," wanting my reader to see the difference(s) between my ideas, yet I am also indicating to my reader that each independent clause should be equally valued.

Que Sera, Sera, Whatever will be, will be

When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be pretty, will I be rich
Here's what she said to me.

Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.

what's ONOMATOPOEIA?

The imitation of a natural (or mechanical) sound in language. This may be found in single words (screech, babble, tick-tock) or in longer units. It is especially heard in poetry, where Pope said that ‘The sound must give an echo to the sense’; for example, ‘the slithering and grumble/as the mason mixed his mortar’ (Seamus Heaney). Different languages have different potential in this respect. Japanese has over three times as many sound symbolic expressions as English, expressing a much wider range of meanings, eg fura-fura (‘roam’) and dabu-dabu (‘baggy’).
Portions of the summary below have been contributed by Wikipedia.
In rhetoric, linguistics and poetry, onomatopoeia (also spelled onomatopia) is a figure of speech that employs a word, or occasionally, a grouping of words, that imitates the sound it is describing, and thus suggests its source object, such as “bang” or “click”, or animal such as “moo”, “quack” or “meow”.
Onomatopoeic words exist in every language, although they are different in each.
Sometimes onomatopoeic words can seem to have a tenuous relationship with the object they describe. however, because words for the same basic sound can differ considerably between languages, non-native speakers might be confused by the idiomatic words of another language.
Some animals are named after the sounds they make, especially birds such as the cuckoo and chickadee.
Examples and uses of onomatopoeia
Everyday sounds
Some other very common English-language examples include:
bang Beep Bing Boing Bonk Boom Burp Buzz Clang Cuckoo Hiccup Hiss Hush Ka-boom Mumble Murmur Ping pong Plop Poof Pop pow Ring Roar Splash Splish Splosh Swish Vroom Wham Zap Zoom

The longest word in English

The longest scientific term in English is the full chemical name of the world’s largest known protein, titin. Beginning with Methionyl… and ending with …isoleucine, the word contains 189,819 letters.[4]
The 45 letter word Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is the longest English word that appears in a major dictionary.[5] Originally coined to become a candidate for the longest word in English, the term eventually developed some independent use in medicine.[6] It is referred to as “P45″ by researchers.[7]
Antidisestablishmentarianism, at 28 letters, is the longest non-coined, non-technical English word. It refers to a 19th century political movement that opposed the disestablishment of the Church of England as the state church of England.
In “How to Build a Better Vocabulary”, there is also a word attributed to P. T. Barnum, who wanted to have the record for inventing the longest word, and apparently learned just enough chemistry to coin: Di-isobutyl-phenoxy-ethoxy-ethyl-dimethyl-benzyl-ammonium-chloride, where the hyphens normally are not present but show how the word is built up. It also begins with the unusual start of “DII..”. Here it is, all 58 letters long: diisobutylphenoxyethoxyethyldimethylbenzylammoniumchloride.
Floccinaucinihilipilification at 29 letters (and meaning the act of estimating something as being worth so little as to be practically valueless, or the habit of doing so) is the longest non-technical, coined word in the English language.

C A M P U S C O M E D Y : I am not your walking dictionary

When I was still studying in English department in 1993, I had one favorite lecturer. Her name was Mrs.Diah Kristina. One day when we are joining her SPEAKING class she ordered us one by one to tell his or her most interesting experience in our life. One of my friend with a little fluency and knowledge of English vocabulary stood anxiously and unconfidently in front of the class. He had just been starting his story but whenever he forgot or hesitated about the correct diction and spelling of an English word or expression he kept on asking to my lecturer. At the first and the second request of him, my lecturer wisely gave him the answer. But at the third time when he asked to my lecturer simply she said, “MY DEAR STUDENT, I AM NOT YOUR WALKING DICTIONARY”.

I betray you but i forgive you?

When I was still learning in English department several years ago , I had one memorable experience in the class. At that moment I had one smart creative lecturer. His name was Mr. Agus. One day when we are attending his GRAMMAR class he ordered us one by one to make a simple sentence using one transitive verb. The funny time came when there was the two intimate students who got their turn of making a sentence. Their name was Rahmat and Ipung. They both are the funniest students in my class. Rahmat loudly said, “I BETRAY YOU! ”. He uttered it by pretending to give a wicked angry sight at Ipung. Then Ipung in turn loudly said, “I FORGIVE YOU!”. He stated it by smiling at Rahmat. Knowing this all the students laugh uproariously.

Linguistic Stratification in Javanese Society

Linguistic Stratification in Javanese Society

Sean Scheiderer
© Copyrighted Material; All Rights Reserved

The complicated etiquette rules of the Javanese language immediately indicate that Javanese society is rigorously stratified, for it would have to be in order to find such a system necessary and in order to maintain it. Linguistic appropriateness here is not just a matter of simple proper address forms or a choice between two pronouns, as the vocabulary of almost every sentence is affected by etiquette considerations: "It is nearly impossible to say anything without indicating the social relationship between the speaker and the listener in terms of status and familiarity. . . . The difference is not minor, a mere du and Sie difference" (1).*1 Both the linguistic forms used to build words and sentences*2 and the style*3 in which speech is delivered are determined by the status of the speaker relative to the addressee and their familiarity to each other.*4

Javanese has (at least) three dialects, and Geertz indicates that: (1) the dialect which a speaker employs is not a matter of voluntary choice but a matter of social class, and (2) while these dialects are themselves socially ranked, this is a feature of any stratified society, not particular to Java. The Urbanite Dialect is spoken by those urban-dwellers who are somewhat educated, and is the most common dialect in town. The Peasant Dialect is spoken by the peasants and uneducated townspeople, and is the most common dialect in absolute numbers. The Prijaji Dialect is that of the group with the highest prestige, and is considered the ideal speech even though it is actually spoken by very few. (2)

The speed of your network connection doesn't just depend on the speed of your hardware. Windows is an operating system that is designed to work on a variety of different hardware and network setups. Because of the abstract nature of the operating system, it cannot be optimized for user-specific hardware setups.

Depending on the type of network connection you have, you might be able to tweak your connection so that the speed of your Internet, as well as your local area network, will be faster. By changing the System Registry and optimizing the TCP/IP parameters, SpeedConnect can fine-tune the values to take advantage of more reliable, faster Internet connections.
