A modifier is OPTIONAL.YAH, Betoel bangetz,opsional, gan !!!. jadi beda sama KAMPLENGEN Eh COMPLEMENT yang harus kudu ada dalam struktur kalimat.Coz we all know that MODIFIERS (Semacam penjelas gitu) can change the meaning of the structure it modifies in interesting ways; for example, although the cat in Noun Phrase (frasa nomina) a. is a neutral sort of cat, you might form different opinions about whether to pat the cats in NPs b. and c. :
The cat
The cuddly, friendly cat
The fierce, mean cat
But cat is not a word that necessarily takes an adjective. Consider:
The cat sat on the mat.
It's a well formed sentence. We don't have any information about whether it's advisable to pat this cat, but that's a practical concern, not a grammatical one.
Similarly we can say:
Harold drove.
Harold drove fast.
Harold drove fifty miles over the speed limit.
Harold drove with exemplary caution on the wet road.
The adverbials in sentences 1-4. give you information about " how Harold drove "and might lead you to different conclusions about whether you'd like to be Harold's passenger, but the sentence "HAROLD DROVE". is complete--if bland--without an adverbial modifying the verb.

As a speaker of English, you may get the sense that something is missing if an obligatory complement is left out.
I. For example, a small class of English verbs require adverbials of location as complements.
DWELL is one of a few such verbs, which is why *FAY AHMED DWELLS. is SO EXTREMELY :) ungrammatical.
Compare TO this one:
Fay ahmed dwells in a lovely village called Kye Gompa.
Fay Ahmed dwells there.
There, Fay Ahmed dwelt.
II. Similarly, with be and the linking verbs, the subjective complement completes both the structure and the meaning.
*FAY AHMED SEEMS. won't work alias ga jalan,gan: because the word SEEM is used only as a linking verb.
Compare:
FAY AHMED SEEMS WELL. [adj. as subjective complement]
FAY AHMED SEEMS TO BE WELL. [infinitive as subjective complement]

PARTS OF SPEECH
A. DEFINISI PARTS OF SPEECH
Parts of Speech dalam bahasa Inggris berarti jenis-jenis kata atau kelas-kelas kata.
Disebut parts of speech – bagian-bagian dari ucapan atau bagian-bagian kalimat (ingat, pada dasarnya kalimat dalam bahasa adalah kalimat yang diucapkan, bukan dituliskan) – karena kata-kata ini merupakan suatu sistem yang diperlukan untuk membentuk sebuah kalimat, tanpa melihat apa tugas atau fungsinya masing-masing. Jadi, kata-kata itu merupakan “bahan dasar” di dalam sebuah “bangunan” kalimat, bukan “fungsi” kata di dalam kalimat. Mengapa demikian? Karena sebuah kata bisa mempunyai beberapa (lebih dari satu) fungsi dalam kalimat.
Secara lengkap, ada 9 jenis kata atau kelas kata dalam bahasa Inggris, yaitu:

1 Verb Verba atau kata kerja (misalnya: be, have, do, like, work, sing, can, must)

1.Mengambil kursus pendek:
Sejumlah kursus-kursus bahasa sekarang tersedia di mana-mana, di universitas atau perguruan tinggi lokal. Internet demikian juga banyak yang memberi layanan kursus bahasa asing. Silakan ketik kata kunci seperti: learning English, atau belajar bahasa Inggris online, kursus bahasa Inggris, dsb. Nah, ambillah kursus bahasa Inggris ini untuk memulai usaha anda.
2.Mimicking:
“Mom, he’s mocking me!” “Ibu, ia sedang mengejek aku!” Pernahkah anda mendengar keluhan ini bila setelah adikmu yang paling kecil menirukan dari orang lain? Seseorang menirukan kata, bunyi – dalam pidato, termasuk segala aksi panggung. Itu disebut mimicking dan cara itu sangat efektif bagi anda untuk belajar speaking. Prosedur sangat sederhana, anda mengulangi persisnya, kata demi kata, segala yang dikatakan oleh model tersebut. Model itu penyiar berita, karakter di sebuah komedi, pembawa cerita atau narrator, suara yang berasal dari radio atau operator kaset. Jangan cemas jika hasilnya belum sempurna. Anda akan belajar dengan berbahasa Inggris dengan lidah. Anda akan memperoleh kecepatan dan menenangkan cara ini dengan praktek langsung. Anda akan melakukan lebih cepat dibanding yang anda kira.
3.Membaca Dengan Suara Keras:
Salah satu terik belajar bahasa Inggris membaca dengan keras. Bacalah teks-teks bahasa Inggris dengan suara keras. Teknik tangguh ini tidak hanya mengembangkan ketrampilan-ketrampilan pengucapan kata-kata, berperan untuk meningkatan keterampilan mendengarkan, tatabahasa dan kosa kata juga. Pelajarilah bahasa Inggris dengan membaca.
4. Menonton TV: Jika anda sudah berlangganan TV kabel, adakah sebuah stasiun menyiarkan di dalam bahasa Inggris yang anda adalah tertarik akan? Banyak stasiun TV yang menyiarkan acaranya dengan menggunakan bahasa Inggris. Nah Anda bisa belajar bahasa Inggris dari menonton TV itu.
5.Mendengarkan Musik:
Mendengar musik merupakan tips dan trik belajar bahasa Inggris yang menyenangkan. Anda juga tidak asing dengan lagu-lagu bahasa Inggris, kan. Pilihlah lagu dengan syair yang mudah dan dinyanyikan dengan tempo yang lebih lambat. Anda juga bisa melakukan dengan karaoke bersama teman atau keluarga. Dengan bantuan internet, bahkan, anda dapat mencari lagu-lagu bahasa Inggris secara online. Di internet anda dapat mnemukan ratusan bahkan ribuan nyanyian online
6.Membaca:
Berhenti di perpustakaan untuk meminjam buku-buku tata bahasa dan materi belajar bahasa Inggris. Tatabahasa merupakan pemandu yang baik dalam belajar bahasa Inggris. Dan membaca secara umum merupakan modal awal belajar bahasa Inggris. Membacalah artikel bahasa Inggris sebanyak mungkin, dan anda akan menuai hasilnya.
Membaca juga bisa dipahami sebagai memahami orang lain. Pergilah ke tempat-tempat yang banyak dikunjungi oleh para penutur bahasa Inggris, seperti di restaurant, supermarket, tempat wisata, forum chatting, klub bahasa Inggris, atau ke mana saja, yang memungkinkan anda dapat berbicara dan mempraktekkan bahasa Inggris anda.

Smoking has become the rule, and abstaining from it the exception. Often, people look with astonishment and disdain at a person who when a cigarette is offered to him, declines to smoke explaining that he does not smoke.
Offering cigaretles to the guests has become among the first rules of hospitality. Anyone who does not offer them to his guests or insist on them to smoke would be violating the ethics of hospitality and generosity!

Polisi Nyanyi India -Briptu Norman Kamaru Diklik 2 Juta Kali di Yahoo!
TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA - Berita dan video mengenai Anggota Satuan Brigade Mobil Polda Gorontalo, Brigadir Satu Norman Kamaru dengan judul “Goyang India Polisi Muda http://id.berita.yahoo.com/goyang-india-polisi-muda.html banyak dibicarakan di Yahoo! News. Tautan ini diklik 913 ribu kali, 49 ribu klik “Bagi” ke Facebook, 528 retweet dan 12.555 komen.
Tak hanya itu berita dan video lainnya dimana dia tengah mendapatkan "hukuman" oleh kesatuannya, juga menuai banyak komentar di Yahoo! News. Tercatat artikel yang berjudul “Hukuman Untuk Briptu Norman Kamaru” mendapat diklik 814 ribu kali, 9.120 klik “Bagi” ke Facebook, 179 Retweet dan 2.998 komen.
Dalam siaran pers-nya yang diterima Tribunnews.com, Jumat (8/4/2011), sejak tanggal 6 April sampai hari ini, Yahoo! telah mencatat lebih dari 12 ribu komen mengenai berita tersebut dan lebih dari 49 ribu pengguna Yahoo! telah membagi tautannya ke Facebook dan 528 pengguna telah me-retweet berita tersebut melalui Twitter," katanya.
Pada tanggal 3 dan 4 April, Search Trends Yahoo! Indonesia mengalami kenaikan pada pencarian kata “korps brimob” (38,500%), “goyang india polisi muda” (8,675%) dan “polisi goyang india” (5550%).
Berita yang telah tersebar luas tersebut menuai banyak komen positif dari para pengguna Yahoo!, salah satunya adalah Novan S yang menyebutkan bahwa video Briptu Norman menunjukkan figur polisi yang ramah dan bersahabat.
"Ini mengubah persepsi polisi “galak” dan asosiasi bahwa ketika melihat polisi, seseorang langsung ingat "ditilang"," ungkap Novan.
